Cypher
Hide encrypted messages inside images.
Cypher is a small steganography tool I built to understand how data can hide inside normal-looking media. You upload an image, write a message, lock it with a password, and the app embeds the encrypted message into the image pixels. The output still looks like a normal image, but someone with the password can extract the hidden text.
Problem
Encryption protects a message, but it still announces that a secret exists. Steganography is interesting because it hides the existence of the message itself. I wanted to understand that idea by building a working version instead of just reading about it.
Solution
The app encrypts the message, converts it into binary data, and stores it inside pixel-level image changes. The UI keeps the flow simple: upload, write, lock, download, then reverse the process to decode.
Outcome
Small project, but technically useful. It gave me hands-on practice with client-side file handling, image pixel manipulation, encryption, and designing a security tool that normal users can understand.
